Ah, My first Mother's Day...sort of. I have to admit that Mother's Day is a tad bittersweet. While I'm totally in love with Myah, I also miss Shaya so much. I can't help wondering what it would be like to have two little girls right now?! I know it would be totally insane but I would still give anything to have Shaya here with us.
God, in His wisdom, knew that Myah would bring us so much joy after such a painful time in our lives. Myah is and absolute GIFT and I couldn't be more thrilled to have my first official Mother's Day with her. By the way, she played her first game of 'wiffle ball' with us today, which was a hoot!

I was thinking about that today...how strange it is that this is your first "official" Mother's Day...doesn't seem right. It made me really sad for you but you're right, Myah is such a great baby and such a gift! I can't *wait* to watch her grow up.
Now that I'm a mom, I have developed an even deeper amazement at your strength and how awesome you are. Not many women could have been so genuinely thrilled with having another baby so close to losing one. I'm so thankful for you in my life. You really are my hero and I love you!
